Established in 1881, we have a long-standing tradition of excellence as Renfrew's Community School. RCI moved to its current location in the early 1900s and in 1923 the school expanded to three floors which closely resembles the school we have today. This "New Collegiate" tied in with the Town of Renfrew's 75th Anniversary. In September 2010, grades 7 and 8 were added to the school.
Today we are a school still deeply connected to the Town of Renfrew and a school driven by tradition by an active and accomplished alumni network. With two gymnasiums, a state-of-the-art culinary lab built in 2025, four tech labs including a cosmetology studio, and all classrooms equipped with SMARTBoards, we are able to leverage modern opportunities for today's 21st century learners.
We have well-established pathways for university-bound, college-bound, trades-bound, and workplace-bound studies as well as an extensive, inclusive, and individualized program for students with complex needs.
Our staff prides itself on providing numerous opportunities for students outside the classroom in a variety of athletic and artistic ventures.
