RCI Students Support Renfrew and Area Food Bank At Christmas

RCI has been busy assisting the Renfrew and Area Food Bank this week. On Monday, December 7th, Mr. Wright's Social Justice Class prepared over 300 hampers for the Christmas pick up from the food bank.

On Tuesday, December 8th, the Blue Zone Student Association canvassed door to door collecting food to replenish the shelves at the food bank. Over 30 students participated in this initiative by hitting the streets of the Town of Renfrew from 5:30-8 pm.

Blue Zone Student Association President Mitchell Hanniman shared the groups sentiment, "It is a great pleasure to volunteer and give back to the community. The Renfrew Food bank serves many people in the community including families of RCI. We gave up a few hours of our lives but we helped 100's of people to have a better holiday season."

Every month the Renfrew Food Bank assists over 380 families from Town of Renfrew and the surrounding area.

RCI would like to thank the residents of the Town of Renfrew for their generosity in supporting the Renfrew and Area Food Bank.
