RCI Literacy Preparation Goes Digital Using D2L

Posted on Wednesday February 24, 2016

Renfrew County District School Board has designed and prepared Literacy Test support material that your child can access on-line to practice for this test.

This year the Literacy Test will be administered on Thursday, March 31st in the morning.  Success on this test is a graduation requirement of all high school students in Ontario.

The practice material is a Ministry licensed on-line resource which your child will be provided access to using the same credentials they use to access their school accounts. The site can be found by clicking on "e-learning" on the board's website. The practice material provides students with exercises which are similar in content and structure to those on the Literacy Test.  After students complete a practice exercise, they will be provided with the answers so they can confirm their responses.

Renfrew Collegiate Institute is supporting your child’s Test preparation by giving him/her training on the D2L Literacy Practice test.  Students have also received a Literacy Test practice booklet which will be referenced at various times throughout second semester leading up to the test date.  Lastly we will be hosting a partial practice test so students will be familiar with the location, setup and support provided on the actual test day.
